Xn = distance from reference to nose CP

(CNα)n = normal force on nosecone


and so on for each component.

And X = distance from reference to overall CP

CNα = overall normal force on rocket.


According to Jim’s calculations, the CNα for the nosecone is always a constant value, regardless of shape.
